How long is a programme of therapy?

The length of a programme of therapy is dependent upon your needs and guided by NICE recommendations. Some people require more sessions, some require less. Do get in touch and we can look at your individual requirements.

Covid safety?

To be super safe, at present I am only offering virtual sessions by video or telephone.

Is virtual therapy as effective as face-to-face therapy?

Lisa has been providing virtual therapy since 2015, so is very experienced in remote working and has found it to be in many cases as good as face-to-face therapy if not more so for some people. Of course everyone has different preferences, but over the years many clients have expressed great pleasure and surprise at how effective, how convenient and how comfortable virtual therapy has been for them.

How long does each therapy session take?

Each session lasts between 50 minutes to an hour.  This is an effective amount of time for successful, focused  therapeutic working. Beyond the therapy session, Lisa takes time to prepare each session beforehand, reading, researching, having clinical supervision, as well as making clinical notes and attending to clinical admin afterwards.

Does Lisa offer a discounted rate for those on lower incomes?

Please do get in touch if the costs of therapy feel like a barrier, discounted rates can be arranged for those on lower incomes.

How much does therapy cost?

I am new to therapy or a bit nervous about giving it a go.

Lisa is friendly, warm and caring. Please let her put your mind at ease by getting in touch in whatever way feels comfortable for you. Sometimes the first step feels the most difficult, but it can be the most important step on the journey.
